Communications
The Communications Committee is in charge of disseminating AIGA Portland content through various marketing channels. This information includes local event notifications, updates from the AIGA National, and information that Portland Designers may find interesting or useful.
Since our communications are more than just web based, the Communications Committee looks holistically at this website, our email, and a handful of social networking channels. The committee currently consists of the following positions all of whom report to the Communications Chair:
- Email Director
- Facebook Director
- Flickr Director
- LinkedIn Director
- Online Calendar Director
- Print Director
- Twitter Director
- Web Director
Our philosophy is to be where our members are, while speaking in the medium that they want to hear. If you are interested in serving on the Communications Committee or think there's another channel we should be participating in, please let us know.

Shona is the Principal of Eye Design Studios, a studio that creates artisan handcrafted design for web & print. Shona opened the doors to Eye Design Studio in her hometown of Mendocino, California. It was a great opportunity to combine her background in photography, experience as a Web developer and her love for print design. Since opening in 2003 Shona has honed her skills to portray a mix of contemporary style with a vintage touch. In 2005 Eye Design Studio relocated to Portland, Oregon. Design has always been a passion for Shona; the last six years have been no exception. Find out more here: http://www.eyedesignstudio.com/
Mary is an art director creatively crafting a full range of communications for brands ranging from independent regional businesses to global automotive, entertainment and medical leaders. ‘Creative Thinking’ has evolved her strategic aptitude, brand development and collaborative spirit — enabling Mary to clearly articulate her client’s story.
Relocation to the Pacific Northwest is infusing LaFleur Studios with a greater sense of individuality, social/environmental consciousness and community. Reconnection with her watercolors, a new ‘used’ canoe, and rekindling her AsianCajun heritage just might influence a new project. Her design samples, and infrequent blog posts and can be found at lafleurstudios.com
