Paper

Making a sustainable paper choice can be confusing. There are many options, each with their own impact. There are papers with variations in recycled content, papers with sustainable certification (like FSC-certified) that may or may not include any recycled content, and papers made with alternative energy. There are papers made near and far. Often, a locally made paper, recycled or not, may be the best option because it is not being shipped, thereby reducing CO2 emissions. Talk to your paper distributors and printers and share information with fellow designers as you make your decisions.
