Q: What is your overall view of your business’ environmental responsibilities?

Adprint Company complies with all environmental laws and regulations as well as operating our facility with all necessary environmental permits, approvals, and operational controls. We believe that fiscal responsibility is essential to our environmental future and therefore we are implementing or working to implement sensible green practices and standards that are not prohibitive for a small business. We strive for continuous environmental improvement with a philosophy that follows the reuse, reduce and recycle adage. We want a clean and safe environment and to achieve this we buy, sell and use environmentally friendly products.

Q: What types of eco-friendly inks do you use and why?

Soy inks.

Q: What types of eco-friendly papers do you carry or use regularly or recommend?

We use and recommend Endeavour, Options PC100, Environment PC100 and Classic Crest PC100.

Q: Do you use any other eco-friendly materials or printing practices?

Yes, the few chemicals that we still use are eco-friendly.

Q: Do you have any green certifications (Forest Stewardship Council, Rainforest Alliance, etc.)?

We are FSC certified and Recycle at Work certified. We are also working towards the Climate Champions certification through the City of Portland Office of Sustainability.

Q: What types of alternative energy sources does your facility use?

None at present. We are researching the available options.

Q: What are you doing to decrease or eliminate air and water pollution at your facility?

We use chemicals that are eco-friendly as well as those with low VOCs.

Q: What do you do to encourage customers to use the above services?

We publicize our eco-friendly practices.

Q: What additional steps do you plan to take in the future to make your practices and facility more environmentally friendly?

We proactively recycle and continually look for new opportunities to recycle and reuse. We are changing our lighting to T-8, a more energy conserving format. We are working on the City of Portland’s Climate Champions Certification requirements including promoting more environmentally friendly commuting methods, composting and alternative energy credits.
