About AIGA dMob

AIGA dMob’s humble story begins at a McMenamin’s pub on NW 23rd in the Fall of 2003. Dru Martin, Elmer Bancud, and recent arrival to Portland, Ryan Smythe, met to discuss the Dot Com Era Portland networking phenomenon called the PINT. The three designers began brainstorming a new name and identity that would later manifest itself into the present day dMob.

dMob is AIGA Portland's monthly gathering for the entire Portland design community to come together to network and socialize. Much discussion occurs around design matters, new business opportunities, collaboration opportunities and how we can collectively nurture and elevate the Portland design community. Here amongst this friendly, laid-back group of design professionals, you're bound to find inspiration, opportunity, friendship or, at the very least, some really great beer!

dMob occurs on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. To keep it interesting AND always close to SOMEBODY'S home, dMob is held at a different Portland venue each month – ideally rotating through each area of the city.

Fees

Free and open to the public. Attendees are responsible for their own food and drink expenses.

How It Works

It’s simple. When you arrive, you’ll get a sticker to wear. Venture forth, find another sticker-wearer and offer them a drink. That’s the trick: you can’t just drink your own, that just wouldn’t be very social. It’s a great way to break the ice.
