Living Principles

With Portland already at the vanguard of sustainability dialogue, we are excited to offer a firsthand introduction to this vibrant and growing sustainability framework.

What is the Living Principles Workshop?

AIGA Portland developed a workshop to inform, educate and engage people on the Living Principles framework. The Living Principles framework is a catalyst for driving positive cultural change, and distills the four streams of sustainability—environment, people, economy and culture into a roadmap that is understandable, integrated, and most importantly, actionable.

What goes on in the workshop?

Past workshops have included a presentation by Phil Hamlett and was followed by a series of engaging group challenges. Phil Hamlett is one of the principle architects of The Living Principles and graduate director of the School of Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. The workshop portion deals with solving practical design problems.

When’s the next Living Principles Workshop?
