The event is in concert with the Museum of Contemporary Craft’s exhibition, Studio H: Design. Build. Transform. We also want to give a shout-out to Wacom for lending us two Cintiqs to play with for the day. Here are some of the images that resulted.

Generate: Social Change Recap

This recap of AIGA Portland's Generate: Social Change event was written by Jane Pellicciotto, sustainability committee member.

The only thing permanent is change, so goes the saying. The moniker “Generate” is apt for an event that promotes new ways of thinking, working, engaging and using design skills. What makes design for social change difficult to encapsulate is also what gives it its power. There is no proscribed end point. There are no good guys or bad guys (Okay, maybe a few, but much change is coming from corporations.). There is no formula. And people from disparate backgrounds are collaborating.
